Comments:

League position: 18th Had they failed to score, Huddersfield Town would have become only the second team in English football history to fail to score in their first six home league games of a season. Mansfield Town failed to score in their first nine in League Division Three in 1971-72. The Terriers scored their first goal at the John Smith’s Stadium in the Premier League since Thomas Ince netted in the 1-0 win against Watford on 14 April 2018 (659 playing minutes). By ending a run of 14 games in the Premier League without a win (lost nine), Town became the last team in the top four division to win their first league game of the 2018-19 season.

Comments:

League position: 20th Fulham remained as the only team yet to keep a clean sheet in this Premier League season. The Whites avoided becoming the first team to concede at least three goals in five consecutive games in the Premier League since Sunderland in November 2005. They had now made 30 changes to their starting XI so far in this Premier League season; more than any other team.
