League position: 4th Watford became the first team to start their first six games of a Premier League season with the same starting XI since Aston Villa in 2008-09. Andre Gray's opening goal was timed at 87 seconds. It was Watford's second quickest-ever goal in the Premier League after Etienne Capoue against Leicester City on 19 November 2016 in 32 seconds. The Hornets failed in their attempt to win five of their opening six games of a top division season for the first time. This was Watford's first score draw in an away game in the Premier League since their visit to West Bromwich Albion on 30 September 2017 (2-2).
