League position: 17th With one win and five defeats, Fulham had now equalled their worst eight-game start to a top division season. The Whites were now the only team yet to keep a clean sheet in this Premier League season and conceded 21 goals, more than any other team. This was their heaviest home defeat in the Premier League since a 5-0 loss to Manchester United on 21 December 2011.

League position: 4th Arsenal had now won nine games in a row in all competitions for the first time since April 2015. Aaron Ramsey scored only 39 seconds after coming on as a substitute. It was the quickest goal by a Gunners substitute in the Premier League since Nicklas Bendtner against Tottenham Hotspur in December 2007 after 35 seconds. This was their biggest away win in the Premier League since a 5-1 success at West Ham United on 3 December 2016.
