Comments:

League position: 7th Everton had now won five consecutive home games in the Premier League for the first time since April 2014. After only 28 games, the Toffees had now already equalled their Premier League points total from each of the two previous seasons (47). Morgan Schneiderlin scored his first Premier League goal since scoring against Everton at Goodison Park for Manchester United on 17 October 2015. Everton manager Ronald Koeman said: "We will always score because we have those types of players. Normally Romelu Lukaku will score in every game. But you need to fight, defend and run. The pressing in midfield was outstanding."

Comments:

League position: 8th West Bromwich Albion had now not kept a clean sheet in an away game in the Premier League since the opening day of the season at Crystal Palace. The Baggies had now won only one of their last eight away games in the Premier League. Albion failed in their attempt to keep clean sheets in four consecutive visits to a top division opponent since March 1925 against Birmingham. West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis said: "Our biggest problem in the last couple of weeks has been the little bit of quality we need with a final pass or shot or cross. Everton had that."
