Comments:

League position: 6th Everton had now won six consecutive home games in the Premier League for the first time since April 2014. Romelu Lukaku became the first player to score more than 20 league goals in a season for Everton since Gary Lineker in 1985-86 (30 goals). He also became the fourth player to score 80 goals in the Premier League before the age of 24 after Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney and Robbie Fowler. After only 29 games, the Toffees reached 50 points in a Premier League season for the first time since 2013-14. Romelu Lukaku scored in the first minute of added time in the second-half and his second in the fourth minute of added time. Everton manager Ronald Koeman said: "At several moments in the game Hull were strong. The decision [to send off Tom Huddlestone] might have felt too harsh at that moment but it gave Everton the freshness to kill the game off. We are strong and with ten v 11 and we have a team who will punish them."

Comments:

League position: 18th Tom Huddlestone's dismissal was the fourth red card shown to Hull City players so far in this Premier League season; the most along with Manchester City and West Ham United. The Tigers were now without a win in their last 14 away games in the Premier League (lost 12). Ahmed Elmohamady became the first player to make 100 appearances for City in the Premier League. Hull City manager Marco Silva said: "Of course there is disappointment because it was one game at 70 minutes and then after that is was a different game. We didn't deserve this result and we don't deserve what happened."
