Comments:

League position: 13th Oumar Niasse became the first player to score in consecutive games as a substitute for Everton since Wayne Rooney in December 2003. Oumar Niasse’s first goal ended Everton’s run of 401 minutes without a goal in the Premier League. This was the Toffees' 1,500th home win in all competitions. Everton manager Ronald Koeman said: "The boys showed great character. Oumar Niasse is bringing more aggression. We needed in the second-half to have another striker close to Dominic to press a bit better than we did before. All the credit to Oumar, that is all about life. If you get your chance you need to take it. He took it on Wednesday and again today. It is a totally different world after winning. You have key moments during the season and this was a big win that will give everyone a boost.”

Comments:

League position: 19th AFC Bournemouth had now lost 28 points from winning positions in the Premier League since the start of the 2016-17 season; more than any other team. The Cherries avoided failing to score in their opening three away league games of a season for the first time since 1994. They had now won only one of their 12 away games in the Premier League in 2017 (lost seven). AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said: “I don’t think we deserved to lose today, I haven’t seen the goals again - I’ll have to analyse them - but when you have possession of the ball and you give it away and concede that is something for us to look at. From our perspective we have to be pleased with the performance, even though the result has gone against us, that can’t be lost. For a long period of the game you’d say it was a really good away performance, we were good out of possession, we were good without the ball, we were good on the counter-attack."
