Kick-off: 6.00pm local (5.00pm BST) Assistant referees: Simon Beck (England) Jake Collin (England) Fourth official: Anastasios Sidiropoulos (Greece) Additional assistant referees: Anthony Taylor (England) Andre Marriner (England) Reserve assistant referee: Damianos Efthymiadis (Greece) Man of the Match: Ivan Rakitić (Croatia) In a stunning turnaround, having seemingly been cruising to a comprehensive victory, the afternoon suddenly turned sour for Croatia both on and off the pitch. Goals from the Ivan duo of Perisic and Rakitic within the hour appeared to have set impressive Croatia on course for a deserved win. However, the introduction of Czech subs Milan Skoda and Tomas Necid would prove decisive. A fine header by Skoda halved the deficit before events took a nasty turn late in the game. Flares were thrown on to the pitch from a stand housing Croatia supporters and then fights broke out amongst themselves. After play was suspended by some five minutes, Necid dramatically and confidently converted a penalty deep in to added time following a handball. Other than the understandable Czech delight, the day ended with lots and varied questions heading in Croatia's direction.
