Comments:

The USSR's qualification for the Euro 1992 finals tournament was confirmed as Noway were held to a draw with Italy earlier that same day. This would be the last match played as the USSR. The USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) team was replaced by CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) in the final tournament due to the dissolution of the Soviet Union just after the end of the qualifying stages.
