Comments:

League position: 14th Crystal Palace had now lost five of their last seven games in the Premier League (won one). Along with Huddersfield Town, the Eagles had now failed to score in each of their first four home games in this Premier League season. Only two other teams in the history of the top division had also done so (West Bromwich Albion in 1921-22 and Everton in 1998-99). They failed in their attempt to record their 100th win in the Premier League and their 200th win in the top division.

Comments:

League position: 7th Wolverhampton Wanderers became the first team to name an unchanged starting XI in each of their first eight games of a Premier League season. Wolves were now unbeaten in six consecutive games in the top division for the first time since 30 April 1979. Only five newly-promoted teams had previously achieved Wolves' total of 15 points after their first eight games of a Premier League season.
