Comments:

League position: 11th This was Crystal Palace's 300th home game in the top division. They would have equalled a club record of five consecutive top-flight victories, had they won this game. Palace had won both of their previous Premier League games against West Bromwich Albion at Selhurst Park, scoring three goals on both times. The Eagles had now kept a season league-low of two home clean sheets having now gone 13 games without a clean sheet at Selhurst Park.

Comments:

League position: 13th This was West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis' first return to Selhurst Park since stepping down as Crystal Palace boss the previous summer. This was only the Baggies' second win in their last ten league and cup meetings with Palace. Albion had lost their last three Premier League games. It was the first time a Tony Pulis side had suffered three consecutive defeats since his Stoke City team in March-April 2013.
