Comments:

League position: 19th Crystal Palace had now lost their first three league games of a season for the sixth time in their history and the first time in the top division. This was the second time that the Eagles had started a league season by failing to score in each of their first three games (also 2008-09 in the League Championship). They had now lost seven of their last eight Premier League games and failed to score in each defeat. Crystal Palace manager Frank De Boer said: "We have to show some balls from the first second of the game. It wasn't until after we were two-nil down that we showed we really can play. It was not because of the quality of Swansea that we lost. We made two mistakes in the first-half, they had two half-chances and scored both times. It is a very hard lesson for us. If we do not show balls or courage then you get punished."

Comments:

League position: 9th Tammy Abraham became the second teenager to score a goal for Swansea City in the Premier League after Ben Davies against Stoke City on 19 January 2013. In his club career, Tammy Abraham now scored 18 goals in 30 away games in all competitions. The Swans had now equalled their club record of three consecutive away clean sheets in the top division, which was set between February and March 1982 in League Division One. Swansea City manager Paul Clement said: "Tammy Abraham and Jordan Ayew took their goals well, they both scored midweek. It's what you want from the strikers but our offensive play in the second-half needed to be much better. We will not get carried away, we have got to get better and improve."
