Comments:

Final league position 2018-19: 12th Crystal Palace created a new club record for most wins in a Premier League season (14). With 49 points, Palace equalled their highest points total in a Premier League season; also in 1992-93 which was a 42-game season. The Eagles had now still to end a top division season with a home defeat (won six, drawn two). This was the 100th win in the Premier League in Roy Hodgson's managerial career. Luka Milivojević became one of only three outfield players to play in every minute of their 38 games in this Premier League season (also Conor Coady of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley's Ben Mee). This was the first time they had won a game in the Premier League when they had conceded three goals. This was the first time that Palace had scored five goals in a game in the Premier League since their competition club record 5-0 win against Leicester City on 28 April 2018. Michy Batshuayi had now been on the winning team in all nine games in the Premier League when he had scored. Cheikhou Kouyaté was originally named amongst the substitutes before suffering an injury in the pre-match warm-up. Nikola Tavares took his place on the bench.

Comments:

The Cherries had now scored 11 goals in their last three away games in the Premier League; two more than they had in their preceding 12 away games in the division. They had now conceded 70 goals in this Premier League season; only two of the three relegated teams had a worse record. Their 38 games in this season's Premier League totalled 126 goals (scored 56); the most of any team in the division in this season. AFC Bournemouth had now conceded five or more goals in three away games in this Premier League season. Only Swansea City (12) had now conceded more own goals in the Premier League than the Cherries (nine) since they were promoted to the division in 2015.
