League position: 1st Chelsea had now won ten consecutive games at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League for the first time since their opening ten home games of the 2014-15 season. The Blues had now conceded a goal in four consecutive Premier League games for the first time in this season Cesc Fabregas became the first Spaniard to make 300 appearances in the Premier League.

League position: 15th This was Swansea City's 300th game in the top division (won 100, lost 128). The Swans had now only kept two clean sheets in their last 32 away games in the Premier League. Current City boss Paul Clement was assistant to manager Carlo Ancelotti when Chelsea won the Premier League title in 2009-10.
