Comments:

League position: 6th Chelsea had now won 110 of the 113 Premier League games in which they have led by two or more goals at at half-time (lost one) and had yet to lose a Premier League game when they had been leading at half-time under manager Antonio Conte (won 21 and drawn two). They maintained the record of the reigning champions of England's top division never having lost their opening two home games of the league season. Chelsea had not now lost consecutive home games in the Premier League since November 2011. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said: "We must be pleased with the performance. We played a really good game. We dominated and had plenty of chances. The only negative thing is we should be more clinical but there were a lot of positive things. There are maybe four or five days to go before the close of the transfer market. I think the club is trying to work very hard to improve the squad."

League position: 12th Since January 2011, Everton had now won only one of their 41 away games in the Premier League at one of the top six sides from last season (lost 26). The Toffees had yet to win a game in the Premier League in which they had been two or more goals behind at half-time (drawn four and lost 56). Everton had now won one of their last 15 Premier League games in London since the start of the 2015-16 season. Everton manager Ronald Koeman said: "The quality of our opponent made it really tough, but I'm still disappointed at our first-half. I was proud of how we fought until the end. We made a lot of mistakes in the first-half. They were more aggressive. If you have a few games in a short amount of time with a lot of travelling, it's hard to do with 11 players."
