League position: 3rd Maurizio Sarri became the first manager in Premier League history to remain unbeaten after his first 12 games (won eight). Nottingham Forest's Frank Clark set the previous record of 11 games in 1994. Chelsea had now remained unbeaten in their opening 12 games of a top division season for only the second time; also 2014-15 in the Premier League when they avoided defeat in their first 14 games. The Blues were now unbeaten in their last 13 games at Stamford Bridge in all competitions since 1 April 2018.

Comments:

League position: 9th This was Everton's first goalless draw in an away game in the Premier League since their visit to West Bromwich Albion on 26 December 2017. They remained without a win in their last 14 away games in the Premier League that were played on a Sunday (lost 11).
