Comments:

League position: 13th Chelsea had now taken only four points from their opening four games of the 2015-16 Premier League season. Of all the previous reigning champions, only Blackburn Rovers (three points in 1995-96) had made a worse start to the defence of their title. They had now conceded nine goals in their four league games the 2015-16 season; more than any of their previous opening four games in the Premier League. This was Jose Mourinho's 200th Premier League game in charge of Chelsea (won 137, drawn 42 and lost 21) and only the second defeat in 100 at Stamford Bridge (won 76 and drawn 22).

Comments:

League position: 2nd Crystal Palace had now accumulated 25 points in their away games in the Premier League in 2015. Only Arsenal had gained as many. With this win, Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew became the first manager to win three games against Jose Mourinho in any top division matches.
