Comments:

Chelsea had now won 12 of their last 19 games in the Premier League (lost three). They had now kept clean sheets in 20 of their 32 games in all competitions under manager Thomas Tuchel. Aged 22 years and 40 days, Trevoh Chalobah became the second youngest player to score on his debut in the Premier League for the Blues after Paul Hughes against Derby County on 18 January 1997 (20 years and 274 days).

Comments:

This was manager Patrick Vieira's first game in charge of Crystal Palace. As a player, he did not lose a game in the Premier League against Chelsea (won six, drew four). Palace's last manager to win their first game in the Premier League remained as Alan Pardew against Tottenham Hotspur on 10 January 2015. The Eagles had now lost seven of their last nine games in the Premier League.
