Comments:

League position: 3rd This was the second time that Chelsea had now conceded four or more goals against a newly-promoted team in a home game in the Premier League; also versus West Bromwich Albion on 3 April 2021 (5-2). The Blues failed in their attempt to win six consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since November 2019. They had conceded only 12 goals in the second-half in their previous 28 games so far in this Premier League season; the fewest in the division.

Comments:

League position: 14th This was the first-ever time that a newly-promted team had scored four or more goals in a league game at the home of the current European champions. This became Brentford's biggest-ever away win in the top division and the first time they had scored four or more goals in an away game in the top flight since a 4-3 win at Liverpool in League Division One on 6 November 1937. The Bees had lost eight of their preceding 11 games in the Premier League.
