Comments:

League position: 13th With this victory, Chelsea avoided three successive Premier League defeats for the first time since October 1999. They had now kept six clean sheets in their last eight Premier League games against Arsenal, including the last five in a row. Chelsea are unbeaten against Arsenal in their last eight Premier League meetings (won five). Eden Hazard scored in the first minute of added time in the second half. John Obi Mikel replaced Cesc Fabregas in the second minute of added time in the second half. The Premier League's Goal Accreditation Panel ruled on the following: - Chelsea's second goal against Arsenal on Saturday 19th September 2015 was in fact a Calum Chambers own goal and has therefore not been credited to Eden Hazard. (Circular 5 - 24th September 2015) - Input amended 25 September 2015.

Comments:

League position: 5th Gabriel Paulista was sent off with a straight red card for violent conduct in the first minute of added time at the end of the first half, 53 seconds after he had been shown a yellow card. However, his subsequent claim for wrongful dismissal was upheld and the red card withdrawn. It was the third time that Arsenal had two players sent off in a Premier League game, and the first since 7 November 1999 at Tottenham Hotspur when Freddie Ljungberg and Martin Keown were dismissed. The Gunners had won seven and drawn one of their last eight Premier League away games.
