The Bluebirds avoided failing to score in three consecutive home games in the top division for the first time since April 1957. Bobby Reid's second goal was timed at 13 seconds in to the second-half. It was the fastest goal scored after the break in a game in the Premier League since Marko Arnautović for West Ham United at Huddersfield Town on 13 January 2018 (11 seconds). On his 26th birthday, he also became the first player to score two goals on his birthday in the Premier League since Christian Benteke for Crystal Palace against Southampton on 3 December 2016.
