Comments:

Cambridge United were in lying 12th postion in League Two - 76 places below Manchester United in the league pyramid. Their starting XI cost nothing in transfer fees while the Red Devils reportedly cost in excess of £180million. This was the first time that Cambridge had reached the 4th round of the FA Cup since 2000.

Comments:

Manchester United had won all seven of their previous FA Cup ties against fourth-tier teams and lost only one of the last 41 against non-Premier League teams. This was their fourth draw in their last six away games in all competitions.
