This was the first spectator attendance test event in senior football in the UK since the coronavirus lockdown was announced in March 2020.
In line with Premier League and League Championship clubs being allowed to enter the competition, Fulham fielded their Category One Academy team as part of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) youth development scheme initiated by the Premier League.
