Comments:

League position: 7th Burnley had now won three consecutive top division games for the first time since January 1975. This was the Clarets' first home win in the Premier League in 2017 other than by a 1-0 margin. Jack Cork scored against his former side to end a run of 43 Premier League appearances without a goal. Burnley manager Sean Dyche said: “I was really pleased, particularly with the first-half. We took the game on and scored a fantastic goal, without them touching it from our keeper, to cap off a fantastic couple of weeks for Corky. The second was a great press and what a strike from Barnesy. That put us in control of the game."

Comments:

League position: 19th Swansea City had now failed to score in seven of their last 11 away games in the Premier League. The Swans had now lost six of their last seven Premier League games. They had now lost four consecutive league games to equal their longest losing run in the top division (most recently also in December 2016). Swansea City manager Paul Clement said: "I still believe I can turn things around, but I would be stupid not to be concerned. I'd be stupid if I wasn't. I'm concerned about the level of performance, concerned about our position in the table, concerned about how many goals we've scored or haven't scored. These are all things I have to work on."
