Comments:

League position: 20th Burnley became the second team to play 5,000 league games in the top four divisions after Preston North End, who the Clarets met in their first-ever game in the Football League in September 1888. The Clarets had now won only one of the first 20 games of a league season for the first time in their history. Jay Rodriguez scored the 100th goal of his league career (played 391).

Comments:

League position: 5th Manchester United had now scored in all 12 of their away games so far in this Premier League season. The Red Devils had now conceded one goal in each of 12 of their 23 games in the Premier League so far in 2021-22 (none in five of the other 11). Paul Pogba scored his first goal in the Premier League since United’s 2-1 win at Fulham on 20 January 2021. Raphaël Varane scored in the 12th minute but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review.
