Comments:

League position: 7th Burnley had not won any of the preceding 53 games in the Premier League when they had conceded the first goal (lost 42) since the visit of Tottenham Hotspur on 9 May 2010. With their 100th point in home games played in the competition, the Clarets had now equalled their highest points total in a Premier League season (40, also in 2016-17) with nine games still to play. This was manager Sean Dyche’s 250th game as Burnley manager (won 98, lost 79); their first boss to reach this mark since Stan Ternent (June 1998 - May 2004).

Comments:

League position: 10th Everton had now lost 19 games in 2017-18 in all competitions; their most in a season since 2005-06 (21). The Toffees had now lost six consecutive away games in all competitions for the first time since October 2005. Cenk Tosun became the tenth Turkish player to score in the Premier League and the first since Jem Karacan for Reading against Fulham on 4 May 2013.
