Comments:

League position: 16th Burnley failed in their attempt to win four consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since April 2018. The Clarets failed in their attempt to keep clean sheets in three consecutive home games in the top division for the first time since December 1973. Caretaker boss Mike Jackson failed in his attempt to become their first manager to remain unbeaten after his first five league games since Owen Coyle in December 2007 in the League Championship.

Comments:

League position: 11th Aston Villa had now won ten of their last 28 games in the Premier League (lost 15). 153 goals had now been scored in Villa's 58 games in the Premier League since 1 January 2021 (for 74, against 79). Danny Ings became the second player in the history of the competition to score in four consecutive games in the Premier League against a team he had previously played for in the division (also Craig Bellamy against Newcastle United from 2007 to 2011).
