League position: 11th Unused substitutes: Steve Melton, Chris Holland and Tom McManus Many sources recorded Boston United's first goal as an own goal by Kevin Miller. However, the club subsequently issued the following statement on their offical web site: "Jason Lee has officially been credited with Boston United’s first goal in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Bristol Rovers. "The club contacted the Football League in their quest to have the goal given to Lee, and Communications Executive Ian Christon later confirmed to United’s press officer Craig Singleton that after viewing video evidence and reading the referee’s report, Lee would be awarded the goal, which initially went down as a Kevin Miller own goal."
