Comments:

This was manager Owen Coyle's last game in charge of Blackburn Rovers. Rovers had now kept only one clean sheet in their last 11 home games in the FA Cup and League Cup. They were the last League Championship club to be knocked out of this season’s FA Cup competition.

Comments:

Manchester United had now progressed from each of their last 11 FA Cup ties against teams from a lower division. Along with Anthony Martial, Zlatan Ibrahimović was now United's joint-leading scorer in all competitions since the start of the 2015-16 season (24 goals) despite only joining in July 2016. Along with Nathan Redmond, 35 year-old Zlatan Ibrahimović was now the current Premier League player who had played in the most games in all competitions in this season (both 36 games).
