Comments:

Belgium are the most experienced squad at Euro 2020. At kick-off, their 26-man squad had a combined total of 1,334 international caps (238 goals). Romelu Lukaku extended his record as the Red Devils’ all-time leading goalscorer to 62 goals. Thomas Meunier became the first-ever substitute to score in the first-half of a game at the UEFA European Championship finals.

Comments:

This was Russia's heaviest home defeat since Belgium's 4-1 win at Saint Petersburg in the Group I qualifier for this tournament on 16 November 2019. This became the biggest-ever losing margin by a nation playing at home in a game at the UEFA European Championship finals. Russia had now won five and lost five of their 14 games in the 2020-21 season.
