Comments:

League position: 13th This was Aston Villa's first win in the Premier League since 10 March 2022; longer than any other team currently in the division. Villa had lost four of their preceding five games in the Premier League (drawn one). They had now kept a clean sheet in five of their last nine games in the Premier League.

Comments:

League position: 20th This result confirmed Norwich City's relegation to the League Championship. This became their sixth relegation from the Premier League; more than any other team. The Canaries became the second-ever team to be relegated in four consecutive seasons in the top division after Crystal Palace (1992-93, 1994-95, 1997-98 and 2004-05). They had now lost their last 44 away games in the Premier League when trailing at half time since January 2013. Kenny McLean was originally named in the starting line-up before suffering an injury in the pre-match warm-up. Billy Gilmour was promoted to the starting XI with Christos Tzolis taking his place on the bench.
