Comments:

League position: 20th With his first goal in 21 appearances in all competitions, Gabby Agbonlahor had now scored in 11 consecutive Premier League seasons for Aston Villa. Villa had now won two of their first three Premier League home games in 2016 after winning only three of 19 in 2015. Ciaran Clark replaced Micah Richards in the first minute of added time in the second half. The Premier League’s Goal Accreditation Panel ruled on the following: - Aston Villa’s first goal against Norwich City on Saturday 6th February 2016 was in fact a Timm Klose own goal and has therefore not been credited to Joleon Lescott. (Circular 17 – 11th February 2016)

Comments:

League position: 18th Norwich City dropped in to the bottom three having now won only one of their last 12 Premier League away games (lost nine). The Canaries narrowly avoided equalling a Premier League record of conceding three or more goals in five consecutive games.
