Comments:

League position: 3rd This defeat brought to an end a streak of ten unbeaten Premier League matches (nine wins). Arsenal had now lost just two of their last 35 Premier League matches at the Emirates (24 wins). Arsenal had now failed to score in two successive Premier League home games for the first time since April 2011. The Gunners had now named the same starting XI in five successive Premier League matches for the first time since January 1994. The Swans’ goal was now only the third that the Gunners had conceded in their last eight home Premier League games. They had not conceded a goal in the first-half of a Premier League game since the visit to Southampton on New Year's Day.

Comments:

League position: 8th This result gave Swansea City their first league double against Arsenal since the 1981-82 season. The Swans had become only the third team in Premier League history to complete league doubles over Arsenal and Manchester United in the same season. It was previously achieved by West Ham United in 2006-07 and Chelsea in 2009-10. City had now won three consecutive Premier League matches. They last achieved this in the opening three matches of this season. Bafetimbi Gomis’s goal was confirmed to the referee by the goal line technology system. This was the Swans 50th all-time Premier League victory.
