This was the sixth time that a team had scored four or more goals in a half so far in this Premier League season; also Manchester City versus Burnley on 20 October 2018 and Southampton on 4 November 2018, Liverpool versus Arsenal on 29 December 2018 and Crystal Palace on 19 January 2019, and Fulham versus Brighton and Hove Albion on 29 January 2019. Steffen Iversen (40) and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (91) were now the only two Norwegian players to have scored more goals than Josh King in the Premier League (38). He had now scored 50 goals in his club career in England.

League position: 5th This was Chelsea's heaviest defeat in the Premier League since a 5-1 loss at Liverpool on 21 September 1996. These became the only two games when they had lost a Premier League game by a four goal margin. This was the first time they had conceded four or more goals in a game in the Premier League since a 4-1 loss at Watford on 5 February 2018. The Blues had now lost three consecutive away games in all competitions for the first time since March 2018.
