Comments:

League position: 3rd West Ham United had now made their best start to a Premier League season with 20 points from ten games. Only leaders Manchester City (24 goals) had now scored more goals than the Hammers (22) in the Premier League so far in this season. Angelo Ogbonna replaced Mark Noble in the second minute of added time in the second half.

Comments:

League position: 15th Chelsea had now lost five of the first ten games in the 2015-16 Premier League season. They lost only three in the entire 38-game 2014-15 campaign. Manager Jose Mourinho had now lost six of his last 12 Premier League. Before this run, he had lost six of his previous 64 Premier League games. With this defeat, champions Chelsea remained on 11 points so far in 2015-16. 18 points is the lowest total a team who went on to win a Premier League title had gained after ten games of a season. Nemanja Matic's first booking came as the Hammers broke away seconds after Chelsea thought they had equalised through a Kurt Zouma header. Goal line technology showed that the ball was close to but did not wholly cross the line. Following the sending off of Nemanja Matic towards the end of the first-half, assistant first team coach Silvino Louro was sent from the bench by referee Jon Moss. Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands for the second-half after continuing his protests during half time by going to speak to the referee in his room. John Obi Mikel was booked in the fifth minute of added time in the second half.
