League position: 1st Unused substitutes: Josh Lillis and Ian Baraclough Many sources indicated that Scunthorpe United's opening goal was an own goal by Tranmere Rovers keeper Gavin Ward. However, the match reports on Scunthorpe United's official web site and the Scunthorpe Telegraph credited the goal to Andy Butler. Video evidence shows that Ward grabbed Butler's powerful header from a corner on the goal line, but unable to stop the ball crossing the line due to his momentum. It would seem very harsh to deny Andy Butler as the scorer.
