League position: 1st Champions Chelsea had now won 29 games in this Premier League season; a joint competition record they also achieved in 2004-05 and 2005-06. Cesc Fàbregas' goal was the 50th goal that the Blues had scored in this Premier League season at Stamford Bridge. It became the second time they had reached the home half-century mark in the Premier League (scored 68 goals in 2009-10). John Terry, who was making his first start in the Premier League since 11 September 2016, scored Chelsea's 100th goal in all competitions in this season. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said: "It's a big night because we had won the title. I made a decision to make nine changes and give the chance to start a lot of young players. I must be pleased because the answer was very good. The most important thing was we won. Now we have target to win 30 games."
