Comments:

League position: 1st This victory left Chelsea requiring nine points from their last six games to clinch their fourth Premier League title. Chelsea had now lost only one of their last 13 Premier League home games against Manchester United (won eight and drawn four). The Blues were unbeaten in their last five Premier League games against United, conceding only two goals. They completed a year without a home defeat in the Premier League. Their most recent league reverse at Stamford Bridge was against Sunderland on 19 April 2014. They had now failed to score in only one Premier League game in this season. That was at Sunderland on 29 November. Eden Hazard retained his record of never having lost a Premier League game at Stamford Bridge in which he had scored (19 won and two drawn).
