Premier League stats – Week 14 in review

In this article we look at this week’s selection of some of the stats and facts from the Premier League.

Manchester City have now conceded a total of 901 goals in the Premier League. Chelsea have conceded 903 goals but played 190 more games.

Southampton’s 0-3 loss at Crystal Palace was their heaviest defeat in a Premier League away game since a 1-4 loss at Manchester City on 5 April 2014. Only Jose Fonte played in both games.

Burnley have now scored only five goals in their last 15 away games in the Premier League and failed to score more than one goal in a game during that run.

Last season’s leader scorer Jamie Vardy has now gone 16 games without a goal for Leicester City in all competitions since 10 September 2016 in the 1-4 defeat at Liverpool in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur scored five or more goals in a Premier League game for the 19th time (played 938).

West Bromwich Albion have now won three of their last four Premier League games after winning only two of the previous 19.

West Ham United conceded five goals in a home game in the Premier League for the third time (also 1-5 versus Leeds United on 1 May 1999 and 3-5 versus Manchester United on 16 March 2002 at Upton Park).

Liverpool lost an away game in the Premier League after leading by two goals for the fourth time (also 4-3 at Leeds United on 4 November 2000, 3-2 at Queens Park Rangers on 21 March 2012 and 3-2 at Southampton on 20 March 2016).

Manchester United have become the ninth team to draw 200 games in the Premier League (played 938).

Hull City remained without an away win at Middlesbrough since 1986.
