He began his career in the lower leagues in Poland with Gryf Slupsk and Zawisza Bydgoszcz before moving to Amica Wronki in 1995. He made his international debut in October 1999 against Sweden but has only recently become the first choice striker with Emmanuel Olisadebe as his partner. He moved to Germany to play for Eintract Frankfurt in 2000 and he has settled well into his new surroundings. A tall powerful striker he will prove a handful for defenders.
Pawel scored in Poland's 3-1 defeat of USA in the final game of the 2002 World Cup finals at Daejeon.
