A versatile player, Jacek can play in defence or midfield.
He began his career in Poland playing for Motor Lubin and Lech Poznan before moving to France to play for Lyon in 1995.
He made his international debut in March 1993 against Cyprus and established a regular place in the squad.
Jacek had a long spell in the Lyon first team but found himself on the bench in the 2000-2001 season and went to Lens in an attempt to play himself into the reckoning for the 2002 World Cup. In 2005 he moved to Al Rayyan in Qatar.
