This was Aston Villa's opening game in their defence of the European Cup.
However, it was ordered to be played behind closed doors as part of UEFA's punishment following crowd disturbances involving Villa supporters at the previous season's European Cup semi-final against Anderlecht in Brussels.
Villa were also fined £14,500.
The only spectators were the press and members of the club's administrative staff.
