Zuniga had few opportunities to display his talents for Coventry City in the Premiership in 2000-01, starting only nine games and completing only one.
His best performances were when he came off the bench at Arsenal and in the home game with Manchester United, when he scored his only league goal of the campaign.
He generally looked a little lightweight alongside Moustafa Hadji in attack and looked as if he would benefit from being paired with a bigger partner.
He featured for Peru in the early part of the campaign before losing his place and needed regular first-team football to get back in the squad.
