This tall striker caused the Hartlepool defence major problems with his unorthodox style when playing against them for Norwegian Second Division club Fana in a pre-season friendly. After a short period on trial he signed a two-year contract but found it difficult to meet the demands of full-time football. He was given a number of run-outs in the first team, mostly from the subs' bench, but failed to establish himself. He returned to Norway to rejoin his old club in the summer of 2001 and was subsequently released from his Pool contract in September.
