This young Blackburn Rovers defender began the 2000-01 campaign on loan at Blackpool and played in the opening two games of the season for the Tangerines. He later joined Third Division rivals Halifax Town for an extended loan period making his debut for the Shaymen from the subs bench at Darlington. He featured in a number of games around the turn of the year but then dropped out of favour. Nevertheless he stepped up to represent Northern Ireland at U21 level, making his debut against the Czech Republic in March.
