Stephen Glass

Date of birth23 May 1976
Place of birthDundee
NationalityScottish
Weight70 kg
Height1.75 m
PositionMidfielder

A nippy winger in the finest Scottish traditions, Stephen was progressing nicely in the higher reaches of the Premiership until he was struck down by a knee injury in February 1999.

Has represented Scotland at Full, 'B', U-21 and Schoolboy levels as well as having around 175 club appearances under his belt. Stephen came off the transfer list at Newcastle during the close season and resolved to fight for his place in the Magpies' first team in 2000-01. He came off the subs' bench in the second game of the season against Derby to score with a stunning 25-yard volley into the roof of the net but after starting the next two games he was mostly used as a squad player featuring as a substitute with only occasional appearance in the line-up. He is a pacy winger with good crossing ability and a keen eye for goal.

Stephen joined Hibs in July 2003 on a three-year contract.
