A left-sided midfielder, Stefan scored the winner on his Arsenal debut in a 2-1 victory against Preston North End at Highbury.

Stefan again struggled to break into the Arsenal first team last season and remained very much on the fringes of the squad. He had to wait until January before making his first appearance as a substitute in the Premiership game at Charlton and he also featured from the subs' bench in the FA Cup ties at Carlisle and Queens Park Rangers. A left-sided midfield player, he is comfortable on the ball, can pass accurately and tracks back well. He was reported to have signed for Kaiserslautern in the summer.
