Jordan was on the fringe of York City's first team in 2000-01 and after nine seasons at Bootham Crescent he moved on to Conference club Scarborough in March. He managed just one goal for the Minstermen, netting with a cracking effort from 18 yards in the 4-1 FA Cup win over non-league Radcliffe Borough. He is a composed midfield player with fine distribution.
