Having scored twice for Bradford City in four pre-season Inter Toto outings, Robbie was loaned to Nottingham Forest for three months at the start of the 2000-01 campaign.
He impressed early on at the City Ground scoring in the 4-3 win at Barnsley and there was talk of a permanent move but this fizzled out and he went back to Valley Parade at the end of November.
He looked very sharp in reserve games on his return and was eventually called up for Premiership action, featuring either out wide on the right of midfield or up front as a striker which is his favoured position.
A tricky player who loves taking on opponents, he is willing to shoot from any distance and netted four more goals for City during the season.
Robbie joined Birmingham City in January 2005 with a contract to June 2008 before moving on to Leeds United in July 2005 in a three-year deal.
He joined Burnley in July 2007 with a three-year contract.
Robbie joined Bolton Wanderers in July 2010 with a one-year contract.
