Partridge made his senior debut for Liverpool in the 8-0 Worthington Cup victory at Stoke City in November 2000.

After continuing his development in the reserves at Anfield, he joined Bristol Rovers on loan in March, where he made a very favourable impression and netted an impressive individual goal in the final match of the season against Wrexham.

A speedy ball-playing winger, he continued to represent the Republic of Ireland at Under-21 level winning two more caps.

Partridge's contract at Liverpool was extended to June 2005 in June 2004.

Partridge joined Sheffield Wednesday in July 2005 with a five-month contract.

He joined Rotherham United in July 2006 in a one-year deal.

Partridge joined Milton Keynes Dons in July 2009 with a one-year contract.

He joined Stockport County in January 2010 with a contract to June 2010.
