Paul Konchesky was unlucky not to have played more games for Charlton Athletic in 2000-01 and was only kept out of the team by the consistent form of England international Chris Powell at left back.
He has the distinction of being the Addicks' youngest-ever debutant and has the potential to be a top-class player.
A skilful left-sided defender who can also play in midfield, he appeared at right back in the early part of the campaign and then briefly displaced Powell at the turn of the year.
Already capped by England Under-16s and Under-18s, Paul was called up to the Under-21 squad in 2000-01.
He joined Fulham in July 2007 with a four-year contract.
Paul joined Liverpool in August 2010 with a four-year contract.
He joined Leicester City in July 2011 with a three-year contract that was extended to June 2015 in January 2014.
Paul joined Gillingham in July 2016 with a one-year contract.
